The Artist Behind the Lens
My Story
Photography found me long before I found it. What started as a curiosity became a calling — a way of seeing the world with intention, patience, and an eye for the moments that everyone else walks past.
I founded SaylorFilms with one belief: that the greatest photographs aren't taken, they're felt. I don't show up on your wedding day with a shot list and a formula. I show up with curiosity, presence, and a deep respect for the story unfolding in front of me.
Over a decade and hundreds of weddings later, that belief has never changed. Every client is a new story. Every frame is a new chance to create something that lasts forever.
The Philosophy
I believe the best photographs happen when people forget the camera is there. My approach is to become part of your day — to move quietly, anticipate the moments before they happen, and capture the kind of raw, unguarded emotion that no amount of posing can manufacture.
The result is a collection of images that actually look and feel like you. Not a catalog shoot. Not a performance. Your day, as it truly was.
What I Stand For
A real laugh, an unexpected tear, a perfectly imperfect moment — these are always more powerful than the most technically perfect posed shot.
Anyone can document a wedding. I create a narrative — a visual story with a beginning, middle, and end that pulls you back in every single time.
I don't direct your day around my shots. I work around your day — invisibly, intuitively, and always with your experience as the priority.
Editing styles come and go. I craft imagery that is timeless — so that your grandchildren will look at these photos and feel exactly what you felt that day.
